Why we exist

INMAN distributes, integrates and supports best of breed solutions for Business Reporting. All organizations use reporting in one form or another. As a result, reporting is considered a core Business Intelligence (BI) need and is frequently the first BI application deployed. Business Reporting is key focus of our Business Intelligence activities that include Data Warehousing, Data Migration and Performance Measurement.

INMAN is Melbourne based and focusses on the APAC region while working with partners in other regions and with complimentary expertise. INMAN resources use the tools and methods chosen by the client. When requested, INMAN can help meet a variety of client needs and budgets through providing and supporting a range of proprietary and open source productivity software. We use these to automate, expedite and bullet-proof your Business Reporting and Intelligence environment with reporting applications, data migration efforts and building a strong decision support foundation.

As the customer facing partner in a team that includes people around the globe, INMAN helps:

  • Supply and configure the IT solutions (product and integration knowledge)
  • Capture the Content Framework, Business Rules and work flows (customer, business and process knowledge)
  • Manage the people side of change (project management and consulting)

While INMAN partners with excellent upstream suppliers, INMAN focuses on helping the buyer to buy well. This focus means that INMAN chooses not to have exclusive arrangements with any upstream supplier. Instead, INMAN focuses on the speedy delivery of proven, robust systems. These "New IT" systems usually focus on empowering processes for customer self service.

INMAN is a good team player and prefers to work in with incumbent suppliers as subcontractor. As subcontractor, INMAN offers a team of "plug and play" business reporting subject matter experts, with some of the team acting as super specialists while others play a broader integration role.

If required, INMAN can act locally for a vendor hosted application and so build, own and operate an out sourced solution that can include hardware, software and networking.

Integration Consultants

Integration should be driven by empowering processes. This is the key to better, smarter, quicker and sometimes more cost effective ways to help people meet their objectives.

INMAN consultants usually supplement an existing supplier with team members focussed on:

  • Program management - PRINCE2 and ITIL based competencies include the ability to drive key trade off decisions, to illustrate the best sequencing of features over time from a design perspective, and to evaluate the resource requirements for development and the delivery capacity.
  • Product management - with focus on the gathering, analysis and prioritizing of requirements from business to functionality requirements. Experiences and competencies include active team participation in technology projects or products from start to completed work or released product.
  • Business reporting management experts - with focus on the design and/or operation of end-to-end business process associated with performance reporting, including competencies and experiences in designing and managing systems from the business owner perspective, and defining the business architecture. INMAN understands implementing new technology in an enterprise, working closely with IT teams
  • Architecture - with focus on XML and specifically XBRL technology including competencies and experiences in designing and developing service oriented architectures (SOA), database application design for business intelligence solutions (analytics, reporting).
  • Software development. INMAN augments commercial off the shelf XBRL solutions when required to fulfil specific project requirements.

INMAN can take Senior Supplier responsibility for:

  • Requirements analysis
  • Software design
  • Sourcing and development
  • Business Rules
  • Implementation and support

INMAN team members usually have a record of working in an international setting with clear competencies of teaming, technical judgement, negotiation, and strategic planning.
